Leland NC- This article came out today in the Wilmington Star News. It seems that the Leland NC Village Rd improvements will finally get underway this September. As a Leland resident who lives off of Village Rd, this is GREAT news! You can read the entire article here. I really feel that this will give the Village Rd area in Leland between Hwy 17 and Old Fayetteville Rd the facelift that it needs. So many of Leland’s thriving businesses reside here, and with an ever increasing amount of traffic, accidents have been on the way up. Its great to see the DOT spend some money on these important local issues. Construction is also set to begin next year on the Hwy 17 to Hwy 74/76 portion of the Wilmington Bypass, and soon after followed by the Hwy 74/76 to Hwy 421 leg of the Wilmington Bypass. All of these projects will continue to improve the quality of life for the Leland NC area.
